Who was Jean Monnet?

Jean Omer Marie Gabriel Monnet was born on 9 November 1888 in the city of Cognac, France. Today recognized as "Father of Europe", Monnet was an influential supporter of European unity and is considered to be the main inspiration behind the famous "Schuman Declaration" of 9 May 1950, which led to the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community. Later, the date of the Declaration has been adopted as Europe Day by the European Union and it is generally considered as the birth date of the Union.

THE CURRICULUM OF THE MLEUIM

The curriculum of the Module in Law of EU Internal Market, as an integral part of the Master studies in Business Law, will include lectures in the following areas:

- Fundamentals of the European Union's internal market law - freedom of movement of people, services, goods and capital in the internal market
- Competition law in the internal market of the European Union - key aspects
- European Union internal market law and environmental protection in European Union law - interaction
- Fundamental freedoms of the internal market of the European Union and the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms
- Consumer protection in the internal market of the European Union
